VP Marketing
Overview
Clearspring Technologies, the world's largest widget syndication platform, is seeking a talented and dynamic Vice President of Marketing to lead domestic and international marketing efforts for the Clearspring platform, advertising products, and related communications. The Vice President of Marketing is a high impact position, where the successful candidate will drive the products, partnerships, marketing communications, and public relations for the company. The Vice President, Marketing will lead the marketing efforts around the monetization of our platform, which generates over 127 million world-wide viewers each month, including 50 million US unique viewers which represent approximately 27% of all US Internet users.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute upon plans for all product marketing efforts related to the Clearspring platform, advertising, and related products
- Develop appropriate positioning and messaging for different level audiences (end user, IT Manager, CXO) and for different target segments
- Research, initiate and guide the development of strategic marketing partnerships with technology, new media, Web 2.0, and other related companies/organizations
- Manage marketing efforts to current and potential affiliate partners in order to grow new and deepen existing revenue opportunities with the Clearspring affiliate network
- Develop, execute and monitor SEO/SEM strategies for Clearspring's corporate web presence
- Work in collaboration with Product Management and Sales teams to develop marketing collateral, website promotion, and pricing to achieve revenue generation and market adoption objectives
- Manage and direct Public Relations efforts to reach key Clearspring customers, users, and the technical community at large
- As needed, serve as public spokesperson and evangelist for Clearspring at industry events, conferences and related activities
- Develop budgets assessments of ROI for all marketing activities
Required Skills/Experience
- 10+ years of marketing experience in the technology field with at least most or all of the following: Web-based software as service, start-up technology ventures, commercial Web products, Web 2.0 technologies
- Proven track record for developing and implementing comprehensive Marketing strategies that have produced dramatic and tangible results
- Established and recognized expertise in the online environment and working knowledge of emerging Web trends and technologies
- BS in Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25% to Clearspring offices and related industry events
