Announcing Launchpad (and lots, lots more)
Monday, October 29th, 2007Why have we been so quiet on the blog lately? Because we’ve been working insanely hard on several major new features for you, our beloved users. We’ll talk about each of them in detail over the next week or two, there’s a whole lot that’s new.
First, we invite you to check out Launchpad. Launchpad is a new tool that lets you programmatically widgetize anything on your website with just one piece of code. We give you a great-looking (and fully customizable) menu to embed on your site, so visitors can grab your widget and share it just about anywhere. Its backed by a really powerful Javascript API, but you can get the code from our site, too, if you’d rather just copy and paste.
Here’s a screenshot of one flavor of the Launchpad interface. Our tools build this for you; you just add it to your site. Cool, huh? You can even read a press release, if you’re into that kind of thing.
You will probably also notice a few changes to our site; they are all about making it easier for you to take advantage of some of the industrial strength tools we provide. We’ll talk more about Launchpad and our other new features in subsequent blog posts, but for now, explore and have fun!
