Domain Blacklisting Services

As part of the Premium offering, Clearspring offers domain blacklisting services.  This allows you to specify domains onto which your widget should not be served.  Users can embed code there, of course,  and the standard share options are still available for use on any web location.  However, the power of the Clearspring dynamic widget serving platform means that at runtime the system will not actually render the widget to that location.

This powerful feature offers you as a content owner much greater control over where your widget can be seen, without crippling any of the standard viral share functionality for other domains.

The system interprets all widgets put in the blacklist explicitly. Top level domains are acceptable (e.g. irs.gov, bbc.co.uk) to block all sub-domains under a root domain. Sub-domains (e.g., ftp.irs.gov, news.bbc.co.uk) are also allowable entries to restrict only specific sub-domains without blocking an entire root domain.
