Principal Analyst
Overview
Clearspring Technologies, is the leading widget development and syndication platform. We are looking to add a talented Principal Analyst to our McLean, VA team. The selected Principal Analyst will focus identifying; analyzing and synthesizing key business intelligence and analytics data related to the performance of the Clearspring platform and related widget campaigns.
This is a unique opportunity to participate in and shape the way business intelligence data from over 110 million unique monthly users is aggregated and leveraged in a rapidly evolving segment of the Web. This is a high impact position which dramatically effects both short and long-term strategies related to company strategy, widget campaigns, and the direction of the Clearspring platform and related product offerings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify key business intelligence metrics to effectively analyze and address critical business issues and opportunities
- Proactively and creatively use internal Clearspring resources and relevant external resources as required to gather and process relevant analytics data
- Effectively synthesize data such that is can be easily communicated, understood and re-used by a wide range of internal and external audiences
- Deliver qualitative and quantitative analyses which positively impact decision making across the organization
- Develop tools and automation processes which facilitate internal and client access to Clearspring data
- Preparing client-facing analyses to assess performance of widget campaigns
- Leverage Clearspring's extensive normalized proprietary data to guide clients in developing effective widget marketing strategies based on fact-based assessments
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Marketing Research, Finance or other analytical discipline
- Minimum of 2 years in a customer-facing analytical role, preferably involving Web analytics, business intelligence and/or online media
- Functional knowledge of Web analytics, data mining, statistical analysis and forecasting
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize large, disparate data sets into concise and coherent stories which are relevant to wide ranges of audiences
- Extraordinary conceptual and analytical abilities
- Proven ability to prioritize new requests and projects with existing work flow in fast-changing environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
