Overview

Clearspring Technologies, the world's largest widget development and syndication platform, is seeking an experienced Sales Director for our Los Angeles office. Content-rich organizations such as NBC, ABC, Disney, Fox Broadcasting, Sony, Paramount, Warner Bros, CW Network, ESPN use our platform to quickly repackage, distribute, manage, and monetize their content in a Web 2.0 format.

Clearspring is launching a full service in-widget ad network and is continuing to build a sales organization to manage this business. The sales organization will work with both publishers and advertisers in sponsorships, in-video advertising, and other creative placements, and we're looking for an experienced sales executive to help drive this critical initiative.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Successfully represent Clearspring's value and platform
  • Generate advertising sales revenue and to meet quarterly goals within designated verticals and technology accounts on the West Coast
  • Develop strong new business pipeline through savvy networking and prospecting
  • Manage, renew and grow existing client base through superior customer service and identifying new opportunities with accounts
  • Maintain positive external relationships with agencies and clients as well as internal relationships with co-workers and other company divisions
  • Develop subject matter expertise through ongoing research and understanding of the online advertising marketplace, assigned clients, and their respective advertising agencies
  • Consistently communicate accurate sales projections, updates, and other information that relates to assigned territory and accounts
  • Prepare and customize quality sales presentations to address specific customer requirements
  • Oversee contractual process from initiation through execution

Required Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the online media or advertising space; Online Media Advertising Sales and/or Broadcast/Cable TV experience is preferred
  • Deep understanding of online advertising market and strong interest in Web 2.0 technologies
  • Demonstrated expertise in identifying individual client needs and proposing the optimal mix of products and solutions
  • Extraordinary written and oral communication skills
  • Strategic and marketing-oriented sales approach
  • Flexibility to work with advertising agency buyers and planners as well as senior marketing executives at the client level
  • Team player with ability to work in a dynamic and demanding environment
  • Proficient computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline
